Meteorological towers for wind monitoring projects
LATSTAB manufactures meteorological towers with heights from 30 m to 200 m, serving as supporting structures for wind monitoring equipment. They are used in wind farm projects and at locations where wind turbine towers are planned, providing long-term wind measurements and resource assessment.
Types of meteorological towers
Depending on project requirements and measurement duration, we offer several tower solutions:
01. Triangular towers
lightweight, stable structures with optimised steel usage and convenient equipment mounting.
02. Square towers
designed for higher loads, taller structures and specific equipment layouts.
03. Temporary towers
installed for a defined period to measure wind potential.
04. Permanent towers
used for long-term monitoring stations and operating wind farms.
Temporary meteorological towers
Temporary meteorological towers are installed for a limited period to monitor wind speed, direction and other parameters at a specific site. The collected data helps evaluate whether the location is suitable for wind turbines and what type of infrastructure will be required.
Permanent meteorological towers
Permanent towers are installed for an unlimited period and form part of wind farm or meteorological station infrastructure. They provide continuous monitoring throughout the lifetime of the wind farm, supporting analysis of performance, maintenance and operating conditions.
Structure and corrosion protection
Meteorological towers are designed according to wind zones, loads and equipment layout over the full height of the structure. They are protected against corrosion by hot-dip galvanizing in accordance with EN ISO 1461, and on request can be coated in any RAL colour, to match environmental and project requirements.
